Hi, I'm Nell

(she/her)

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) offering in-person and online therapy. I am passionate about helping individuals and couples find more peace, self-awareness, connection, and acceptance. In my practice, I prioritize creating a safe and non-judgmental space where clients feel seen, heard, and understood. Whether it's improving relationships, navigating parenting challenges, or enhancing self-esteem, I collaborate with clients to discover effective skills and strategies for making positive improvements in their lives.

My Story

I was drawn to this profession because of my genuine interest and curiosity in people - their experiences, perspectives, and stories. I believe that to work effectively, we need to build a safe and open connection with one another. I will share my feedback on how I perceive you and the influence you have on me. I will also encourage you to give me feedback and share what arises in the moment for you personally and in our interactions. I believe this approach is particularly important because the dynamics we explore in therapy often reflect what happens in your relationships and life outside of the therapy room as well.

My experience as a parent, partner, and former teacher has given me a unique understanding of the importance of using a personalized approach based on an individual's needs, strengths, preferences, and goals. There is no one-size-fits-all when it comes to therapy. I start by learning all about who you are - discovering your current challenges alongside your past experiences, how you were raised, and the cultural and societal influences you face. I want to learn about who you are and where you come from. I highlight your strengths and aim to help you accept the parts of yourself that you may have learned to hide. Collaborating with you throughout the therapeutic process to develop a deeper understanding of your past and its impact on you today, helps us create a plan for moving forward.
